Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
Psychotherapeutic support with a focus on patterns of thinking, emotions and behaviour. The aim is to strengthen individual resources and develop effective strategies for coping with psychological challenges.
-
At the centre of our joint work in counselling and psychotherapy is the strengthening of the individual’s abilities and resources, as well as their potential to overcome difficulties or illness.
-
Through attentive listening and thoughtful questioning, I seek to understand my patients’ perspectives and to clearly identify the goals they wish to pursue. Additional perspectives that emerge from our shared therapeutic process are introduced gradually.
-
In this way, our collaboration fosters a broader and more comprehensive view of the overall situation. Patients are supported in moving beyond a predominantly problem-focused outlook and in redirecting their attention to their strengths and talents, thereby discovering new pathways out of their difficulties.

Diagnostic Assessment and Therapy for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Conditions
Comprehensive psychiatric assessment for ADHD and autism spectrum conditions. The diagnostic process is structured, evidence-based and tailored to the individual, incorporating standardised assessment tools where appropriate.
-
In ADHD, the primary symptoms include difficulties with concentration, inner restlessness, hyperactivity, and pronounced mood fluctuations.
-
In autism spectrum disorder, social interaction is often challenging, accompanied by communication difficulties as well as repetitive behaviours and highly focused special interests.
-
The diagnosis is established as part of a comprehensive assessment process. This includes several questionnaires for the individual concerned and, where appropriate, for family members, a structured diagnostic interview, a consultation with relatives or parents, and a discussion of possible treatment options.
-
If indicated, pharmacological treatment and medication adjustment can also be provided.

Medication-Based Treatment: Initiation, Monitoring and Support During Discontinuation
Individualised pharmacological treatment under specialist supervision. Medication initiation, follow-up assessments and dosage adjustments are conducted carefully and in accordance with clinical guidelines and individual needs.
-
In some cases, prescribing medication is necessary. This takes place after a thorough assessment and the exclusion of possible physical causes for the symptoms. The medication is selected and adjusted individually according to the patient’s needs.
-
The use of psychotropic medication requires close and continuous monitoring, and dosage adjustments may be necessary over time.
-
Collaboration with other treating physicians, such as general practitioners and additional specialists, is of great importance.

Interdisciplinary Treatment with a Focus on Social and Professional Reintegration
Individualised treatment tailored to each person’s needs. The goal is to ensure stable psychiatric care while supporting social and professional reintegration. Close collaboration with relevant specialists and institutions enables coordinated and sustainable support.

-
At the beginning of treatment, a clear diagnostic assessment is essential. This may be carried out through neuropsychological testing (such as personality, depression, and anxiety assessments, among others), in combination with the therapist’s clinical evaluation.
-
Once a diagnosis has been established, a therapeutic plan is developed based on a collaborative, equal-partnership approach and is created together with the patient.
-
Today, treatment is often understood as integrated care: close coordination between different professional groups — such as physicians, psychologists, community care services (e.g., Spitex), and other relevant institutions — is of central importance.
Supervision and Self-Experience
Supervision and self-experience sessions provide a protected setting for the reflection of therapeutic processes and professional challenges. They promote the ongoing development of professional competence, foster self-awareness, and support a responsible and reflective therapeutic practice.

-
In certain therapeutic processes, particularly for younger psychotherapists and psychiatrists, it can be challenging to maintain a clear overview, which may lead to difficulties within the course of treatment.
-
For this reason, it is often recommended to regularly reflect on one’s own thoughts and professional experiences with an experienced colleague. Through supervision and professional exchange, new perspectives on a case can be developed.
-
Personal therapy is a mandatory component of professional training and, in our experience, represents one of the most important foundations of therapeutic work.
-
It is an essential skill to distinguish one’s own personal history from that of the patient in order to provide objective, constructive, and ethically responsible support.
Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and Conflict Mediation
Couples and family therapy, as well as conflict mediation, support partners and families during challenging phases of life. The aim is to improve communication, deepen mutual understanding, and develop constructive and sustainable solutions together.

-
In couples therapy, the aim is to explore the underlying causes of conflicts and to foster clearer and more constructive communication.
-
Over time, families may experience changes that can be challenging and emotionally demanding. Such changes may include the birth of a second child, relocation, blended family structures, single parenthood, intergenerational conflicts, illness of a parent, divorce, or a child’s transition into adolescence. Foster or adoptive family situations may also bring specific challenges for which professional support can be helpful.
-
The therapeutic process generally focuses on improving communication between partners, parents, and family members by addressing the roots of conflict and encouraging mutual understanding.
-
Mediation can positively influence the overall family dynamic by helping individuals develop constructive strategies for managing and resolving conflicts.
